Bank Transfer:

If you choose bank transfer or deposit as the payment method, our account numbers will be provided to you to make the corresponding payment. You can make a bank transfer from your bank or, if you prefer, make a deposit in person at a branch. Once the payment is received, your order will be sent for transportation. If payment is not received within 7 business days, the order will be canceled. It is mandatory to attach the payment receipt to process the order.

Credit and/or Debit Card Payment:

We also have the international payment processor Stripe, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit and debit cards.

What type of cards do you accept?

Debit/Credit in Dominican Pesos (RD$) and US Dollars (US$) with local Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards.

Why might my credit card be rejected?

 Your card may be rejected for one of the following reasons:

• The card may have expired. Make sure your card is not past its expiration date.
• The card’s limit may have been reached. Check with your bank to ensure that the card has not exceeded the allowed amount for purchases, as well as the limit for Visa installment transactions.
• Incorrectly entered data. Make sure you have filled in all the necessary fields correctly.
• The anti-fraud system may reject the transaction: in this case, the bank authorizes the transaction, but the anti-fraud system managed by Stripe for Customrentcar.com rejects it due to possible fraud detection. The system places a temporary hold on the credit card for the purchase amount, and then automatically reverses it, preventing the transaction from being processed.

Is it safe to use my credit card on the website?

Yes, the data is transmitted securely via SSL encryption. The payment system will be processed through the secure payment gateway Stripe.

We will not ship the product until your payment is confirmed by any means.

Refund Information

How do refunds work with different payment methods?

You will be asked to secure a credit card authorization, a debit card authorization, or provide cash for the estimated rental cost. In addition to the anticipated rental amount, an additional amount may be required. This additional amount may depend on, but is not limited to, the pickup location, rental dates, the size of the vehicle you want to rent, etc.

If you want to find out the estimated cost:

  • Simply start the online booking process.
  • Make sure to include all your information, such as the location, rental dates, and vehicle size.
  • Confirm that you meet the age requirements and select any optional additional items you want to rent, such as coverage offered, GPS, child seat, etc.; this information will be included in the total.

Note: Additional driver fees cannot be added until you reach the rental counter.

If you are satisfied with your total:

  • Simply confirm the reservation.
    At the point of return, the renter will receive the difference after deducting the rental charges from the original charged amount.
  • If a renter secures their rental with a credit card but plans to pay in cash upon returning the vehicle, Alamo will credit the renter’s credit card at the time of vehicle return.
  • If a renter secures their rental with cash, they will receive the refund at the point of return or by mail, depending on the office.
  • Note: Not all offices accept cash.
  • If a renter secures their rental with a debit card, their refund will be processed on the same day.
  • The time it takes to reflect in the renter’s account will depend on their banking institution, so renters should expect approximately 5 to 10 business days.
